Electricity generation

During the renovation, the water wheel was replaced and reactivated.


The new wheel is made of steel. With a diameter of 2.50 m, it consists of 24 1.20 m wide troughs.


It was realized and mounted on site by the students of the technical school of Malmedy (Institut Notre Dame).


This wheel is coupled to a three-phase generator, which can produce an electrical power of up to 4 KW, depending on the water flow.
